This is CAU e-Zine #8. To start off with, i would like to announce the rebirth of Paranor BBS (the CAU BBS). It is nothing like what you remember if you were on the original Paranor... I am no longer running Renegade. I am now running my own BBS Software, which does not yet have a name. It is simply the Paranor BBS. So far, it has World Wide Web interface via http://cau.dfwisp.net, and soon it will have dialup access and telnet access, although these methods of BBSing are not implemented as of yet for security reasons... I am also still working out the bugs. BUT! The web interface is working beutifully so far, and Paranor now hosts Message Bases, Files Areas, Online Games (albiet they are cheesy so far), and online Chat with others that are logged into the BBS. So hit the url, make an account, be happy, and have some fun on the BBS. Anyway, on to the zine... Worth, Texas Date: November 14th - 16th, 1997 Cost: $5.00 per person (unless yer staff) Anyway, we will probably only get a conference room for the 15th (Saturday) and probably won't have many speakers, but hey, everyone will be there with lotsa dr00gz and dr1nkz, so clear your calendar for those 3 days... Stay Tuned for upcoming infoz... (oh yea, once you RSVP with your email address, we will send you 0day infoz as we come up with them... I)ruid %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% Ft. Worth 2600 Meeting Okay, because last month's 2600 meeting location was extremely crowded, we have moved the Ft. Worth 2600 meeting to a new location: MaMa's Pizza Rufe Snow North of Loop 820 (down the street from CiCi's) Phone: 817.581.1030 Payphone: xXx.XxX.xXxX First Saturday of Every Month 6:00pm - 9:00pm So be there... hopefully it will be less crowded than CiCi's was, and there will be more room for the meeting. The last meeting turned out good, with around 20 different people that showed up. See ya at this months!!! I)ruid %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% Perl Werd kids.. uv here again... as I'm sure you have noticed I have pretty much become obsessed with perl/unix scripting.. just cuse its fun and its something you can do like on any box.. this might not be the "super duper hi-tech nfoz" you wear expecting but anyway. Ok the purpose of this is to inform all of you kids of something that is easy to learn and helps with more "advanced" languages... there are versions of perl for most common os's eg: dos win3.x win95 nt I think.. of course *nix.. :) check out these places for some info on it: www.perl.com www.codebits.com www.geek-girl.com # has UNIX help Perl links and BUG trax.. those are just off the top of my head. Check out alta vista or yahoo for more info (yahoo: computers:programing:perl I think) I would like to inform the "scene" that I would like to release a few progs for the next zine.. but I need some time to get all the bugs out.. heres a few I would like to release: wardialer # got it to rand(using srand till ver 6.. not just need to reconize carrier:) cracklikeprg # just cuse I like messin with crypt thats all I wish to speak of..(mainly cuse the others are so dumb) :) any way.. hrmm.. Oh. yea.. and for those of you that only read these zines so you can be krad and hope to find super hi-tech info like logins and bust rewt on 1000+ sys's just so u can brag...whatever.. You might not allways have access to gcc. Some sysadmins don't like letting users use anythign that could jepodize thier security. I have only actully see this happen once on a local inet shell act.. Gcc was off limits to normal users.. but perl was still happy.. I'm not saying its easy but if yer creative.. you can do just as "31337" stuff as u can with C.. at least in my eyes.. If you have any questions about perl in general drop me mail.. I might be able to help about *nix questions.. also if you have any sites for code hook me up.. -uv mail: uv@cau.dfwisp.net uv817@hotmail.com # I couldn't resist.. Thanks to : M^[[ and xx25 - for all the help.. ############################################################################## Hacking %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% 817.882.XXXX 882 = Fort Worth Area -={817/882}=-Edison--------------------------1996----int3l-- ```````````````````````````````````````````````````````````` [Number] [Owned by] 882-6972 T U Electric 882-6071 T U Electric 882-8188 Tarrant County 882-8301 Tarrant County 882-8128 Tarrant County 882-8299 Tarrant County 882-8154 Tarrant County 882-8812 Tarrant County 882-8293 Tarrant County 882-8311 Tarrant County 882-8268 Tarrant County 882-8271 Tarrant County 882-8168 Tarrant County 882-8274 Tarrant County 882-8125 Tarrant County 882-8265 Tarrant County 882-8145 Tarrant County 882-8324 Tarrant County 882-8162 Tarrant County 882-8816 Tarrant County 882-8277 Tarrant County 882-8171 Tarrant County 882-8247 Tarrant County 882-8236 Tarrant County 882-8202 Tarrant County 882-8230 Tarrant County 882-8256 Tarrant County 882-8184 Tarrant County 882-8298 Tarrant County 882-8206 Tarrant County 882-8281 Tarrant County 882-8147 Tarrant County 882-8376 Tarrant County 882-8223 Tarrant County 882-8316 Tarrant County 882-8818 Tarrant County 882-8358 Tarrant County 882-8213 Tarrant County 882-8114 Tarrant County 882-8270 Tarrant County 882-8143 Tarrant County 882-8237 Tarrant County 882-8229 Tarrant County 882-8161 Tarrant County 882-8178 Tarrant County 882-8260 Tarrant County 882-8397 Tarrant County 882-8252 Tarrant County 882-8328 Tarrant County 882-8269 Tarrant County 882-8329 Tarrant County 882-8140 Tarrant County 882-8177 Tarrant County 882-8275 Tarrant County 882-8359 Tarrant County 882-8347 Tarrant County 882-8241 Tarrant County 882-8149 Tarrant County 882-8218 Tarrant County 882-8127 Tarrant County 882-8353 Tarrant County 882-8211 Tarrant County 882-8295 Tarrant County 882-8164 Tarrant County 882-8303 Tarrant County 882-8220 Tarrant County 882-8360 Tarrant County 882-8245 Tarrant County 882-8112 Tarrant County 882-8372 Tarrant County 882-8333 Tarrant County 882-8325 Tarrant County 882-8190 Tarrant County 882-8217 Tarrant County 882-3894 Harris Hospital 882-2191 Harris Hospital 882-1306 Cactus Bar and Grill 882-5883 Snyder oil company 882-7505 Kaiser Permenente 882-0870 Educational Employees Credit Union 882-0207 FT Worth Teachers Credit Union 882-7281 Cross Timbers oil Company 882-1161 Planned Parenthood of North Texas Inc int3l %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% ############################################################################## Phreaking %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% Southwestern Bell Dallas/Ft.
